# How to change the background

### Adding background to the template:

* Choose a project or start a new one by pressing on [+Template](/en/article/how-to-create-and-post-templates-1m0gon7/) button 

* You will see an editing panel at the bottom of your screen 

* Press **None** icon to remove the background
 _Note: Only after those steps you will be able to change the background of the video_

* Then press the back arrow button at left-hand side corner, and swipe left after proceeding with the steps, till you see the **Canvas** icon 
 
* Tap **Canvas** icon, and you will see:

**Color** - you can choose any color you desire to use as the background for your video
**Background** - this offers you various backgrounds for the photo, also you can add your desired one as an **Overlay** from your device's gallery, by pressing the **Image** icon 
**Blur** - choose this option if you want to blur the background of your video

You are all set.
