# How to use the "Canvas" feature

### Canvas feature

If you wish to add various backgrounds and colors to your video/template or blur the background, you can use Zoomerang's newest **Canvas **feature. 

* Choose a project or start a new one by pressing on [+Template](https://help.zoomerang.app/en/article/how-to-create-a-tutorial-1m0gon7/?1607430096265)

*  You will see an editing panel at the bottom with the following options:

Slowmo | Pause | [Text](https://help.zoomerang.app/en/article/how-to-add-text-to-videos-awufgh/?1607511225219) | Overlays | Shape | AI Image | Stickers |  [Effect](https://help.zoomerang.app/en/article/how-to-add-effects-1ictav9/?bust=1623935545812) | AI Effect |  [Filter](https://help.zoomerang.app/en/article/how-to-add-filters-1uws26b/) | Adjust | Beauty | Music | Canvas | Format

* Scroll to the right and click on the **Canvas** icon

* The three different options are: **Color | Background | Blur**

* The **Color** option gives you multiple shades to choose from as the background color of the video

* The **Background** option has interesting pictures/wallpapers that you can pick from

* The **Blur** tool has a few types and gives you the option to make your video background blurry

_Note: The **Gallery** icon gives you an option to add photos directly from your device gallery_
_Note: The three features can't be used simultaneously, therefore, make sure to choose one_
_Note: To remove any of the options from the video/tutorial, you can click on the first **None** button_

You are all set now!
